MIHAS 2024, NOW OPEN
HALALCORNER.ID-Kuala Lumpur. On September 17, 2024, MIHAS was opened by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim. In this opening, Malaysia is in the process of realizing a halal ecosystem in its country as a whole.
MIHAS is known throughout the world, this halal expo event has attracted many other countries to propose cooperation with Malaysia in the halal sector. Not just halal, but also another important factor that makes industry in Malaysia advanced is prioritizing cleanliness, health, and beauty so that it can penetrate markets in Western and Eastern countries.
“By adhering to the principles of maqosid sharia, it is hoped that the halal sector can reach small entrepreneurs, farmers, and fishermen through a civil economy free from usury,” said Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar Ibrahim greatly appreciated MITI, MATRADE, and JAKIM who have worked hard to bring Malaysia to a high level in the halal sector.
In his speech, Anwar Ibrahim, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Zafrul Bin Tengku Abdul Aziz said that the 2023 Halal Master Plan has generated profits of 55 billion MYR. The Foods and Beverages category is the biggest contributor to this achievement.
“MIHAS is a means of promotion between nations for the advancement of micrograde businesses and is also another means to promote trade between nations, thereby realizing Malaysia as a halal hub,” said Zafrul.
Mihas will also be held in Dubai, taking advantage of its market presence in the Middle East. Apart from the Middle East, it will also target China and Europe.
